    Doctor of Optometry

    Mark J. Abraham, O.D. has been practicing in the King of Prussia area since 2006, and is a part of the Bryn Mawr community. He’s the most dedicated eye care specialist you’ll ever meet. Mark makes a personal connection with you, because he believes a personal connection is the best start to a long and fruitful medical relationship, and a healthy vision for life. He has been affiliated with and practiced at Kremer Laser Eye Center for over seven years. Well respected by his peers, he is considered one of the best optometrists specializing in ocular disease. He is not just an optometrist: Mark is a glaucoma specialist, a dry eye specialist, and he manages corneal conditions, exam pediatrics, and maintains many other disease-based conditions, and is often referred to by other optometrists when their patients need a specialist. Mark works with a large group of eye care physicians and staff members focused on LASIK, corneal, cataract, and glaucoma eye care and surgeries, using the most current and advanced technologies available in refractive surgery and managed care. Mark lectures at grand round meetings and clinical education events, and acts as a clinical preceptor to 4th year OD students from Salus University. He works with a team of 6 optometrists and 5 ophthalmologists, and is involved in the decision making and hiring process of new staff optometrists and ancillary staff members. He is the optometric liaison to a number of referring physicians to the center, and is the educational director for incoming students and continual in-service education to over 70 employees. Mark earned a Doctorate at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 2004, after earning is BA in Biological Sciences at Wayne State University in Michigan in 2000. Between 2003 and 2004 Mark completed clinical rotations at four optometry centers: Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (FL), Veterans Administration Hospital (MA), New England Eye Institute (MA), and Dorchester House Multi-Service Center (MA). Mark is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and has published papers for the annual Otolaryngology meeting (FL) and for the annual Neck Surgery meeting (TX). Mark’s grandfather, James Vernon Battin, was an optician and started his own practice over 60 years ago in Buffalo NY. Battin Optical is open to this very day, and is run by Battin’s son, an optician, and his grandson, an optometrist. “My grandfather was very much an influence in me ending up where I am today,” says Mark.

  • Dr. Julie Snyder, O.D

    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Julie Snyder, O.D., originally from Western New York, graduated summa cum laude from Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She subsequently studied at SUNY College of Optometry where she earned her Doctor of Optometry. Rounding out her educational background, she also completed a postgraduate residency in primary care and ocular disease at The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After her residency, she continued to serve as a consultant at The Eye Institute where she was responsible for supervision and clinical education in the primary care, pediatric and emergency services of second, third, and fourth year interns. She has earned numerous honors and awards throughout her academic experience, including the Pacesetter Award for Excellence in Primary Care. She has presented at national and local conferences, is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa (International Optometric Honor Society), and has engaged in community and humanitarian outreach programs such as special olympics vision screenings and a mission trip to El Salvador. Dr. Snyder resides in Wayne with her husband and two young daughters. She sees patients in Abraham Eye Associates Bryn Mawr office and treats a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, as well as providing comprehensive primary eye care.

  • Dr. Paul Johnson​​​​​​​, M.D

    Board-Certified Ophthalmologist

    Dr. Paul Johnson is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in cosmetic and reconstructive oculoplastic surgery. He performs facial rejuvenation procedures including upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty (eyelid lift/contouring), brow lifts, Botox injections, soft tissue fillers (Radiesse/Juvederm/Restylane), and chemical peels with meticulous attention to detail. Dr. Johnson is also skilled in reconstructive oculoplastics including ptosis repair, excision, and reconstruction of eyelid skin cancer, orbital decompression surgery, repair of orbital fractures, eye socket reconstruction, management of facial nerve paralysis (Bell’s palsy), blocked tear duct repair (dacryocystorhinostomy), ectropion and entropion repair, management of thyroid eye disease, enucleation and evisceration surgery, and the repair of the orbital, eyelid, and tear duct trauma. ​​​​​​​ He attended Johns Hopkins University and Jefferson Medical College. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, and his oculoplastics fellowship at the top-rated Wills Eye Institute. He has authored multiple publications and has been actively involved in teaching future ophthalmologists at both New York Eye & Ear and Wills Eye Institute.

  • Dr. Kelly Moritz, O.D

    Board-Certified Optometrist in Therapeutics and Glaucoma

    Dr. Kelly Moritz is a board-certified Optometrist in Therapeutics and Glaucoma and has been practicing full-scope Optometry in the greater Philadelphia area since 2016. She is originally from central Pennsylvania and grew up in the Hershey area. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biobehavioral Health from The Pennsylvania State University in University Park. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree and a B.S. in Vision Science at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, a part of Salus University, in Elkins Park. ​​​​​​​She has had extensive clinical training and experience working with ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, pediatric and geriatric eye care, as well as primary eye care. Her clinical experience has been obtained all over the country including Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami, FL, Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC, private practices in Wilmington, NC, and Penn State Hershey Eye Center in Hershey, PA. More recently, she has practiced in Philadelphia, King of Prussia, as well as northern Delaware. She maintains licensure in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Dr. Moritz is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA). She is highly engaged in attending national conferences to keep up with the latest treatments and technologies in the eye field in order to best serve her patients. She specializes in comprehensive eye care, emergency eye care, as well as myopia management and myopia control in youth populations. Dr. Moritz currently resides in Bryn Mawr with her husband and daughter. She enjoys offering the highest quality of care and serving all the eyecare needs to the communities she is a part of.

  • Dr. Sandhya Ramsook, O.D.

    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Sandhya Ramsook, OD, has been practicing optometry in the Philadelphia area since 2017. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester. After several years working in science, she decided to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the SUNY College of Optometry. Dr. Ramsook completed her clinical training at The Cornea and Laser Institute in Teaneck, NJ, where she gained experience managing keratoconus and fitting specialty contact lenses, as well as Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Upon graduation, she completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Bruce Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, FL, where she worked closely with a team of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and blind rehabilitation specialists to care for patients. After relocating to the Philadelphia area, Dr. Ramsook worked at Kremer Eye Center, where she provided pre- and post-operative care for cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery patients. Dr. Ramsook has presented at several national conferences and enjoys learning about the newest developments in eye care. She has received several awards, including the Esenbach award in low vision. Dr. Ramsook lives in Wayne with her husband and son. She looks forward to providing patients with high-quality, attentive care.
